Who We Are
Praveen Sadgamaya, founder of Sadgamaya Institute and Sadgamaya Arts & Music, learned the basics of music from his mother during his childhood. His grandfather possessed a magical skill in playing the Chenda; he learned to make percussion instruments by observing and listening as his grandfather trained his disciples. Finally, at the age of 15, he took a significant step into the professional arena when he became an assistant to the renowned music director Kozhikode Yesudas. He assisted on superhit songs like "Paaduvan Marannu Poy" and "Manam Nonthu Njan Karanju" from the movies "Anagha," "Ponnaranjanam," "Chakravalathinumappuram," and "Roudram." From there, he ventured into teaching music and composing while running the Sadgamaya School of Music Institute in Kozhikode.

Praveen Sadgamaya transitioned to the realm of expatriates with his arrival in the UAE in 2012; the Lotus petals of art blossomed in the Oasis of Arabian Soil. Praveen Sadgamaya has had the honour of accompanying many exceptional artists on the keyboard, like the music legends KJ Yesudas, P. Jayachandran, The Nightingale KS Chitra, the popular singers MG Sreekumar, KG Markose, G Venugopal, Unni Menon, Biju Narayan, Vijay Yesudas, Madhu Balakrishnan, Sudeep Kumar, Kaavalam Sreekumar, KS Harishankar, Najeem Arshad, Vishu Prathap, Vivek Anand, Sumesh Airoor, Legend of the era P Madhuri, Sitara Krishnakumar, Jyotsna, Renjini Jose etc.
He was actively involved in the production of various Cover songs, Light Music albums and Devotional Music Albums featuring popular artists. In his Sadgamaya studio, he excels in composing and orchestrating for various albums involving professional/amateur artists. Sadgamaya has been a launching pad for aspiring artists in the region, and Praveen Sadgamaya has helped many anew to sing with confidence. Sadgamaya Institute is a prominent name in the diaspora, recognised as a renowned school in the UAE that offers training in a variety of musical instruments to students of all ages. We are all witnesses to the Sadgamaya Institute’s prowess in helping individuals realise their potential and reach their performance levels. Several students of Sadgamaya have been inspired to perform in various professional events, record solo albums, and are part of Music bands and Church choirs.
